Fourteen high school students received Good Citizenship Awards presented by the Asheville Civitan Club at a luncheon held May 15th at Trinity Episcopal Church.

The BCS Green Schools Program, in it's 2nd year, continues to grow as schools do great projects that enhance student learning across the curriculum, and benefit our environment at the same time!

The accomplishments and contributions of four distinguished alumni, including Board of Education member Steve Sizemore, are honored at the annual “Graduates of Distinction” program May 7. The honorees have distinguished themselves in their community, profession or career.
Associates from BB&T greater Asheville area volunteered 350 hours of their time the week of April 30-May 4, 2012 to help refurbish and build playground equipment, landscape and upfit the athletic fields and build a community garden where students can grow their own vegetables.
BCS' top high school students were honored for their academic accomplishments at the 2012 Top Scholars Banquet.
39 JROTC students got down and dirty for a good cause at the event April 21st in Columbia, SC.
The novice NBHS robotics team took home the coveted “Highest Seed Rookie Team” award by placing 23rd out of field of 53 at the NC FIRST FRC Robotics competition.
Displays will be set up from the Barnes and Noble entrance to Dillards’ North entrance (near Sears).
